The new, multi-stream practice occupies a completely renovated portion of a long-vacant former big-box commercial building.

The large, empty building provided a blank canvas for a modular design which can accommodate multiple specialties in a single healthcare facility as well as the flexibility to expand with additional versions of the core modules and services. The exterior renovation design is a scaled-down and welcoming entry giving the community a new association for the building’s adapted use. The shared waiting for the clinics creates an easy to navigate system for patients to the Primary Care, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Cardiology, and Central Lab.

Clinical staff spaces serve as design features or markers to break up the long corridors and create integral way-finding within the single, large floor plate. Individual provider offices offer privately designed spaces for telehealth and future medical innovations and are collocated to encourage a collaborative approach to the patient care. The design serves as a comfortable and familiar environment for patients visiting a singular specialty while simultaneously allowing them to access the shared services of the larger healthcare system.
