Opened in 1966, this 58,000 gsf mid-century modern gem has 148 rooms for 285 male and female first-year students.  The project’s mission was to undergo an extensive renovation while supporting the existing positive sense of community and maintaining Howell Hall as an affordable housing option.

In addition to student rooms, the main floor holds a renovated large community lobby/lounge space, a new central laundry room, new gender-neutral toilet rooms, and a renovated Resident Director’s suite.

Most of the student rooms are located on the upper three floors, with small student gathering spaces at the corridor intersections of each floor. All floors also feature fully renovated shared bathrooms with private showers, and a gender-specific bathroom on each wing.

The renovation included replacement of all MEPFP systems, roof, windows, and exterior doors.
