In order to meet the needs of a growing Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists practice, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta looked to repurpose an existing exterior canopy and garden area. This new found space would provide offstage office and collaboration space for these providers and preserve the focus of patient care within their existing clinical suite. With a new slab on grade foundation, new landscaping, new dedicated air handling unit and the extension of other existing building utilities, the team transformed an existing concrete structure canopy into a daylight and inspiring office suite which provides the much needed moment of reprieve for these providers.
