Emory University’s Goizueta Business School has embarked on a revolutionary new path toward global communication and learning. A generous grant from the Goizueta Foundation enabled the school to transform three rooms, totaling nearly 5,000 sf, into interactive, technology-intensive, distance learning classrooms. The Roberto C. Goizueta Global Classrooms not only offer new executive learning opportunities, but also provide a place to bring together and engage visionary leaders across the globe – virtually face-to-face.

  • An existing stepped lecture room was transformed into a hybrid lecture room, providing access for 60 in-person students and 40 virtual students.
  • A small room serving 30 virtual students with an in-person instructor, can be used as a virtual classroom, but is also intended for training faculty to use advanced AV technologies.
  • A large classroom has been transformed into a showcase suite honoring Mr. Goizueta. It features a small pre-function space with custom donor acknowledgement artwork, room for guest speaker attendance, an in-person instructor and 30 virtual students.

Beyond basic design services, the design team provided specialty lighting design, acoustical design, furniture selection, school-specific branding coordination as well as coordination with the university’s AV and Technology consultant.
