This new 8,700 SF imaging clinic designed for Emory located in single-story retail shopping center consists of five imaging services including X-Ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, and Ultrasound– with consideration for future expansion.

The project site posed challenges for the MRI installation and infrastructure. May Architecture coordinated the design with the owner, MRI equipment vendor, design team consultants, and general contractor to create a path for installation and structural support for equipment.

Staff support spaces were sized with future growth in mind, and the space plan offers efficient circulation allowing patients a simplified path and direct routes for staff to provide the best care.

Access to natural daylight was prioritized for the main reception area and staff break room with transparent elements draws daylight into the corridors. The overall finish palette, artwork, and lighting features reflect the natural textures and soft patterns found in nature and creates a calm, peaceful environment for patients.
